Brighton-based AluraOnline delivers Starlight. A club-facing single built on aggressive synth pressure and a metallic drop, aligned with the city’s queer underground energy.

Produced across four days in temporary accommodation, the track anchors a wider album system. Self-recorded between sofa surfing and emergency housing. Mapping ambition against instability, grief, and survival.

I realised I’m in a unique position. I’ve never made music with much anyway, just my laptop, focusrite scarlett, an audio technica AT2020 and a dream. That meant I could document my experience trying to stay alive and actually make it in music while in such a precarious situation. Not many people get that.

Local rollout stays embedded in Brighton’s circuit, picked up by queer nights Sweat and Fairytopia, with live crossover alongside Princess XIXI, Lllyric?, and Could Be Ghosts, locking the release into a DIY club signal chain.

‘Starlight’ is so fun and that’s what it’s meant to be! It’s about running towards the memory of my best friend and her light after she passed away last year. Just persevering and making good on all my promises to her. She was a raver and deserves a million bassy jumpy fun songs in her honour.
