That emotional crossroads is exactly where Analine arrives on their striking new three-track EP, A Better End, out now. A richly textured blend of pop, R&B, and electronic music, the project delivers an intimate exploration of connection, loss, and autonomy; brought to life through an international lineup of musicians and a powerful vocal collaboration with Ivy Marie.

A Project Rooted in Relationships —And the Spaces Between Them
At its core, A Better End reflects on the dynamics between men and women, examining the many roles we play in each other’s lives: lovers, siblings, partners, reflections, strangers. That idea is vividly captured in the EP’s artwork, where couples, regardless of their relationship, stand together at the edge of a horizon and a precipice, symbolizing both connection and uncertainty.
The cover was created by Robin Suiffet, a painter and English teacher who also contributed lyrics to the EP’s opening track, “Will You Pay a Call.” That same artistic sensitivity carries throughout the entire project, reinforcing that this EP isn’t simply a collection of songs; it’s a carefully constructed emotional narrative.
“Will You Pay a Call” — Grief Meets Glow
The EP opens with one of its most poignant moments. “Will You Pay a Call” tells the story of a young man’s untimely death and the grief his sister endures, sensing him still nearby as a protective spirit. It’s a haunting concept, yet Analine pairs it with bright, uplifting electro-pop production, creating a striking contrast between heartbreak and momentum.
Ivy Marie delivers an emotionally gripping performance as the grieving sister, capturing both sorrow and strength with precision. The track also features an anonymous American rapper embodying the voice of the departed. His anonymity is entirely his own choice, and his delivery feels raw and authentic, adding to the song’s emotional weight.
The result is a track that hits hard, but still feels built for replay. With an unforgettable chorus where both voices intertwine, “Will You Pay a Call” stands as a bold opener and a powerful hook-driven introduction to the EP’s themes.
“Even Love Has an End” — A Global Collaboration with a Gentle Message
On the second track, “Even Love Has an End,” Analine expands the emotional scope through a stunning international collaboration that spans continents.

Rooted in R&B, the track flows with warmth and sophistication, allowing each instrument to shine while remaining cohesive and smooth. Inspired by the Spanish film Volveréis (The Other Way Around), the song explores a rare and mature concept: ending a long-term relationship before it turns into resentment.
Rather than framing separation as failure, “Even Love Has an End” presents it as an act of emotional intelligence, choosing respect over decay, closure over damage.
“R We Really Free” — The EP’s Darkest and Most Personal Question
Closing the project is “R We Really Free,” the most introspective and sonically shadowed track on the EP. With a darker palette and layered production, Analine turns inward, challenging traditional relationship expectations, particularly the idea of commitment as possession.
The song confronts how love can become control, how expectations can become cages, and how autonomy, especially over one’s own body, must remain sacred. It’s not a breakup anthem, but a philosophical one. A track that lingers after it ends, not because it’s loud, but because it’s honest.
