Bulgarian-born, Wales-based sludge metal unit Thrakian have announced the release of their debut full-length album, The Way. Scheduled to land on 24th June 2026 via Aonair Records, the record promises to deliver a dense, atmospheric brand of heaviness that is bound to appeal to fans of Cult of Luna, Primordial, and Neurosis.
The project features frontman Atanas on guitar and vocals alongside bass guitarist Matt Strangis. Both musicians are notably members of the acclaimed doom metal band Pantheist, bringing a wealth of experience, expansive sonic textures, and additional depth to this new venture. The Way is a conceptual work born out of ancient philosophies, personal upheaval, and the tumultuous journey of rebuilding an identity within a new land. The record was captured at Longwave and Woodcroft Audio Studios by producer Tim Vincent.
With a busy promotional circuit underway ahead of the summer launch, the band are gearing up for an intense media push. The Way will be available on all major streaming services, with physical copies and merchandise distributed through the label’s webstore.
