Project Hail Mary climbs one place to return to Number 1 on the Official Film Chart this week, reclaiming the top spot from The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

The sci-fi epic follows a lone astronaut on a desperate mission to save humanity, as he uncovers the scale of the threat facing Earth and the extraordinary lengths needed to stop it.

    Avatar - Fire and Ash

Avatar – Fire and Ash rises two places to Number 2, returning audiences to Pandora for another visually spectacular adventure as new conflicts, cultures and dangers reshape the world of the Na’vi.

Last week’s Number 1, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, drops two places to Number 3. The animated adventure sees Mario and friends take their latest mission beyond the Mushroom Kingdom, launching into a colourful, cosmic journey packed with familiar faces, new worlds and galaxy-sized stakes.

The Housemaid climbs two places to Number 4. The psychological thriller follows a domestic worker drawn into the secrets and tensions of a wealthy household, where nothing is quite as it seems.

There is a new entry at Number 5 for Avatar – 3 Movie Collection, bringing together James Cameron’s blockbuster sci-fi saga in one collection.

Wuthering Heights (2026) slips one place to Number 6. The latest adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic gothic romance revisits the passionate, destructive bond between Heathcliff and Catherine against the wild Yorkshire moors.

A Minecraft Movie holds steady at Number 7. Inspired by the global gaming phenomenon, the family adventure brings the block-built world of Minecraft to life, as unlikely heroes navigate a fantastical landscape filled with creativity, danger and discovery.
