Static Dress have announced their first UK and European headline tour in four years, fresh from the release of their acclaimed second album, injury episode.

The Leeds alternative quartet revealed plans for the injury episode tour following the arrival of the record, which has been met with widespread praise from critics across the rock and alternative music press. The run will mark fans’ first opportunity to experience the band’s latest material in a full headline setting, with the group set to perform in the largest venues of their career to date.

Beginning at Paris’ La Maroquinerie on 20 October, the tour will travel through major European cities including Cologne, Hamburg, Utrecht and Antwerp before heading to the UK for dates in Glasgow, Manchester, London and Birmingham.

Joining Static Dress on the road will be New York’s Soul Blind and Massachusetts metalcore outfit Holder. Leeds-based five-piece Love Rarely will also appear on the UK leg of the tour.

Since emerging as one of the UK’s most forward-thinking alternative acts, Static Dress have built a reputation for ambitious visuals, immersive live performances and a sound that blends post-hardcore, metalcore and early-2000s alternative influences. Their latest album, injury episode, has further cemented their status as one of the genre’s most talked-about bands, earning praise from publications including NME, Kerrang!, Rolling Stone UK, The Guardian and The Line Of Best Fit.

The upcoming headline run is expected to showcase the full scope of the album’s concept and production, bringing the band’s expansive vision to the stage for the first time.

Tickets go on general sale from 10am local time on 5 June. O2 Priority customers will gain access to a pre-sale from 3 June, while artist and promoter pre-sales begin on 4 June.
