Birmingham born artist Dahlia Rae has released her latest single, Life Lately, a reflective and emotionally honest track that showcases her growth as both a songwriter and storyteller.

Written during a challenging period of self-reflection, Life Lately captures the struggle of reconnecting with creativity while navigating personal pressures. Rather than shying away from those emotions, Dahlia channels them into a record that balances vulnerability with hope, exploring the space between dreams and reality.

Built around introspective lyricism and understated production, the track allows Dahlia’s words to take centre stage. Speaking about the release, she explains: “Life isn’t always sweet, but there’s beauty within the art that is created from it.”

The single continues a strong run of momentum for the rising artist, who has been highlighted by BBC Introducing as one to watch for 2026, featured on Balamii Radio and recognised through her appearance on The Rap Game UK. Recent collaborations with Sephora UK and a Spotify billboard campaign across London have further elevated her profile.

Life Lately arrives ahead of Dahlia Rae’s debut EP, expected later this year, and offers another glimpse into an artist confidently carving out her own lane through honesty, emotional depth and thoughtful storytelling.

Life Lately is available now on all major streaming platforms.
