We leave you in the meantime dear reader with our second classic clip of the day in the form of a recording of a band I have often made the case for to anyone who will listen, Chicago, whose Terry Kath was described as the “best guitarist in the universe” by no less than Jimi Hendrix. This clip is of the band performing Just You ‘N’ Me from their 1974 album Chicago VI, which was written by trombonist Jimmy Pankow for his then-wife, and the reason for sharing it in our sign-off this week is that itfeatures Walt Parazaider who died last week, and who plays a fairly amazing soprano saxophone solo in the middle of the original recording. Other than Kath himself who died in the 1970s, Parazaider is the first member of the original line-up to pass. The rest of the band are amazingly still touring.
