    A tribute concert is being held to mark what would have been John Prine’s 80th birthday.

    Taking place on October 8atTheChicago Theatre, Souvenirs: 80 Years of John Prinewill The concert will bring together artists performing songs from Prine’s celebrated catalogue, backed by his longtime touring band.

    The initial lineup includes John C. Reilly, Margo Price, Joy Oladokun, Jordan Davis, Alynda Segarra of Hurray for the Riff Raff, Steve Earle, Kathleen Edwards, Amos Lee, Ratboys, The Cactus Blossoms and Shemekia Copeland, with more names to be announced.

    Ahead ofSouvenirs: 80 Years of John Prine, fans can also experience his enduring influence atSongwriters Celebrate John Prine, a creative collaboration with Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts. Taking placeJune 9atFilene Centerin Vienna, VA, and marking America’s 250th Anniversary in the National Park for the Performing Arts, the lineup features friends and collaborators such asEmmylou Harris,Margo Price,Patty Griffin,I’m With Her,Lucius,Allison Russell,Hayes Carll,Jobi Riccio,Fancy HagoodandTommy Prine.

    Additional events will be revealed in the coming weeks and months, with proceeds fromSouvenirs: 80 Years of John Prinebenefiting The Hello in There Foundation’s ongoing grantmaking in his memory.
