East London artist Paleblu has returned with ‘rotten love’, a politically charged new single that pushes his self defined “indie jungle” sound into even sharper territory. Fresh from a standout live set at Paper Dress Vintage, the producer, songwriter and longtime D&B figure continues to blur the lines between shoegaze textures, hip hop atmospherics and jazz infused drum & bass.

Best known in underground circles for releases connected to labels including RAM and Hospital Records, Paleblu (Ryan Gonsalves) has spent the past few years carving out a distinct lane of his own. ‘rotten love’ feels like a natural progression from his 2025 album for the ones who didn’t get picked, expansive, emotionally raw and deeply rooted in the tension of contemporary London life.

The track features contributions from live band members Thiago Trosso on saxophone and Ben Woolford on bass, alongside a collaboration with East London artist REUDE, adding another layer of urgency and realism to the release. Lyrically, ‘rotten love’ wrestles with themes of environmental collapse, social imbalance and the seductive pull of wealth, while still searching for something human within the chaos.

With support already coming from BBC Introducing and UKF, Paleblu continues to establish himself as one of the capital’s most forward thinking independent voices.
