Now that we’re in May, we’re closing in fast on Call of the Wild and we’re going to be back for another year! So we’re getting to know as many of the bands set to play the Trailblazer Stage in 2026 that we can pin down. Thieves of Liberty headline the Friday.

Simple things first – where are you guys from?

We’re from the North East of England.

How long have you been playing together as a band?

This lineup has been working together since January of 2023.

Where does the name of the band come from?

Unfortunately, there’s no amazing backstory behind the name. We pretty much just threw cool words together until something stuck. Mark Tremonti once said it was a cool name, though, so that’ll do for us!

If you like what we do, consider joining us on Patreon for as little as £1 per month!

Describe your music. What makes you unique?

Our music is a blend of all sorts of different influences, we all have tastes which vary greatly in pretty different directions, but that makes for a good blend we think. We’ve had comparisons to Rival Sons, Bon Jovi, Van Halen and more, but we don’t sound exactly like any one of them, or exactly like anyone for that matter. There’s stylistic similarities here and there for sure, but we feel like we just sound like us, which is how we like it.

What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?

Our live show is very energetic, and while the songs are well-rehearsed, the stage antics can be very spontaneous and chaotic. We like to let the moment dictate what’s going to happen next, you never quite know what you’re gonna get from us!

Have you been to Call of the Wild before? What did you think?

Yes, we attended last year’s festival! We were meant to be performing but we had to postpone until this year due to James requiring surgery on his vocal cords. We were thrilled to be able to come along anyway though and enjoy the weekend as punters instead; we loved it!

Can you put into 10 words or fewer how it felt when you realised you were heading to Call of the Wild?

Very, very exciting! Especially to headline a stage!

What sort of setlist can we expect?

You can expect to hear all of your ToL favourites, as well as a couple of brand new tunes from our soon-to-be-announced second album!

Stage times haven’t been announced yet, so which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?

We’re massive Florence Black fans so we’ll definitely be there for them. You’ll find us in the pit!

What are you working on at the moment?

As we mentioned earlier, our second album is in the works! It’s getting mixed as we speak so hopefully we’ll have more news on that for you soon!

What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?

One of our most memorable shows was in Manchester a couple of years ago. We were playing a sold out show in what was probably the hottest room ever recorded, and it just so happened that James woke up super ill that day, so that made for a rough combo. As we were about to start the last song, James turned to Kieran and said: “I’m going to go and be sick, buy me some time”… and off he went to the bathroom to throw up, before coming back a few minutes later, straight back on stage and belting out the final song!

What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?

We’re all pretty different when it comes to drinking so everything from whisky to water to cider to cups of tea!

Call of the Wild Festival 2026 takes place 28th – 31 May and remaining tickets are on sale here.
