THIS IS SHIT return with Moloko Plus, a high-voltage rock-techno single from a band name that definitely skipped the “brand safety” meeting.

The track feeds into ΛV, their second album, where guitars, live-band force, and electronic pressure are wired into one restless system.

Behind THIS IS SHIT, composer Loïc Louraco turns his rock roots and electronic production instincts into one hybrid system.

Formed in 2017, the trio first shaped that collision through the EPs / and // in 2018, followed by /// in 2020, closing the project’s first creative cycle.

After a more difficult start to the decade, Louraco entered a long writing phase, pulling tracks from improvisation, late-night Ableton sessions, and production experiments pushed hard at the edges. For ΛV, THIS IS SHIT took the system further by working with Swedish producer Hans Olsson of Division of Laura Lee.

The album was built across Paris and Gothenburg: live guitars, bass, and drums recorded in a rock-band setup, then reshaped by Hans Olsson through a more electronic lens.

That exchange gives ΛV its technical charge: physical band impact, production control, and a cinematic flow that moves scene by scene.

Moloko Plus, featuring Johnny Longlegs, pushes the project into a brighter pop-electro lane, with melodic guitars, tight structure, and euphoric lift.

With ΛV, THIS IS SHIT make the rock/electronic collision sharper, more cinematic, and fully wired.
