Manchester’s grimmest weekend, Offal Fest 2026, has announced a change of scenery. The festival will no longer be taking place at The Bread Shed and is instead moving over to Boundary (part of The Union) this July.

The move was a bit of a forced hand due to some internal maintenance issues at the original spot, but it’s turned out to be a bit of a result. The new home is only about a five-minute walk from the old one, but it comes with a proper state-of-the-art sound system and, more importantly, a massive increase in capacity. The organisers, Rancid Offal Promotions, have put more tickets on sale immediately to keep up with the demand, as this year’s sales are already flying past what they expected.

It’s not just a venue change, though; we’ve finally got the day splits for the whole weekend. Whether you’re heading down for the pre-show, the Saturday, or the Sunday, you can now start planning which bands are going to ruin your neck. Merch Asylum has also hopped on board as an official sponsor, joining the likes of Signature Brew and Morbid Generation Records in supporting the carnage.

If you fancy helping decide who kicks things off in July, the “Battle of the Slams” heats are coming up at the Star & Garter. It’s a proper fan-voted affair where the punters decide who wins. The first heat on 10th May features Vast Slug, War Bastard, Dushman, and Erectomy, followed by a second round on 6th June with Combat Evolved, LOKUSTGRIND, 12 Gauge Autopsy, and World War Three. We previously covered the launch of the competition here, so get down there and cast your vote.

The main event runs from 24th-26th July at Boundary and is topped by UK-exclusive sets from slam kings Devourment and Ohio’s Regurgitation. The rest of the bill is just as mental, featuring Immortal Suffering, Butcher ABC, and a reunion from Infected Disarray. It’s shaping up to be a belter.
