London artist Naviyah is steadily carving out her own lane in UK rap, blending grit, confidence and substance into a sound that feels both authentic and refreshing. With roots spanning Jamaican and Nigerian heritage, her music moves across rap, hip hop, pop, R&B, dancehall and Afrobeats, but it’s her honesty that stands out most.

Her latest single, Sippin On Dat, is more than just another rap release. Produced by New Jersey producer Anthony Cruz, the track was inspired by a major turning point in Naviyah’s life. Written during a period when she gave up alcohol, smoking and weed, the song reflects growth, discipline and choosing a new direction. She has spoken openly about how her Christian faith and baptism helped guide that transformation.

Sonically, the record taps into a classic UK rap energy, with a heavy beat and commanding delivery that has earned Naviyah comparisons to Giggs, praise she openly embraces. While the influence is clear, she brings her own voice and perspective, balancing toughness with purpose.

Recorded in Brixton with a female engineer, the single also reflects Naviyah’s support for women pushing forward in a historically male dominated genre. That same message of empowerment runs through both her music and career journey.

She’s already built a growing live reputation, performing at venues including O2 Academy Islington, Opium London and Libertine by China Whites, while also gaining recognition from respected names such as Tom Robinson and Mikill Pane.

With an official video for Sippin On Dat on the way, Naviyah looks like an artist building momentum the right way, independently, authentically and with something real to say. Keep watching this space.
