JPEGMAFIA has dropped a major new statement piece with the release of his latest album ‘EXPERIMENTAL RAP’, a 25-track project written, produced and mixed entirely by the artist himself.

Positioned as one of his most ambitious and unfiltered works to date, the record pushes further into his trademark collision of rap, noise, punk and experimental production, reinforcing his reputation as one of modern hip-hop’s most unpredictable creative forces.

The release is accompanied by a new video for ‘¥ (Yen)’, a jittery, high-impact visual that matches the track’s themes of wealth, paranoia and excess. Built around fractured production and sharp, clipped lyricism, the single leans into the chaotic energy that runs throughout the album.

JPEGMAFIA originally introduced this era earlier in the month with ‘babygirl’, a volatile blend of rap, punk and electronic textures that captures the anxiety and overload of modern culture. He followed it with ‘War Over Land’, a more cinematic and emotionally heavy cut tackling conflict, ego and the hollowness of clout-driven success.

Beyond the studio, JPEGMAFIA is set to take ‘EXPERIMENTAL RAP’ on the road this autumn with a 20-date North American tour alongside redveil and matt proxy. The run kicks off in Spokane, Washington on September 22, with fans expecting the same high-intensity, confrontational live shows that have defined his appearances at Coachella, Rolling Loud and Primavera Sound.

He’ll also return to Europe this summer for a string of festival appearances including Lowlands Festival, Pukkelpop, All Points East, Outbreak Fest and Electric Picnic.

The new album follows a prolific run for JPEGMAFIA, including touring with Linkin Park on their global ‘From Zero’ stadium tour, as well as recent surprise contributions to tracks by BTS and production work for Maxo Kream and Denzel Curry. With ‘EXPERIMENTAL RAP’, JPEGMAFIA once again refuses the idea of genre boundaries altogether — instead treating them like something to burn down and rebuild in real time.
