Static Dress have just unveiled another new single and video, …hospice.

Taken from their forthcoming second album injury episode – which is due out on May 29 via Sumerian – the massive, My Chem-esque track follows human props and recent Underoath collab Nostalgia Kills, and as Olli Appleyard told Kerrang! earlier this month, it’s about the fear and worry of losing his grandma one day: “She was the first ever friend I ever had in my whole life,” he explained. “I just know that when that time comes, it’s going to absolutely suck.”

The frontman also shared his hopes for Static Dress following the massive success of 2022 debut Rouge Carpet Disaster, and why he wants to be a band who “provide escapism” for fans.

“I think about younger me who just wanted to get away from everything all the time,” Olli shared. “I had a really, really, really horrible time just being myself – somewhere there is the 16-year-old me who absolutely doesn’t fit anywhere, hates everything and was scared to go outside – and anything to take me away is awesome. I want us to be the ultimate escapism band.”
