Metalcore veterans August Burns Red have shared their latest single, “Sonic Salvation”, featuring a guest appearance from Jamie Hails of Polaris. The track is the newest taste of their upcoming album, Season of Surrender, which is set to arrive on 5th June 2026 via Fearless Records.

The new single leans into the band’s hardcore influences while creating space for frontman Jake Luhrs’ vocals. Guitarist JB Brubaker noted that Hails’ contribution takes the song “over the top,” while Luhrs described the track as an anthem for finding strength in music and the wider metal scene. The accompanying music video features clips of fans playing and singing along, serving as a nod to the band’s dedicated following.

Season of Surrender marks the band’s return to Fearless Records and serves as the follow-up to 2023’s Death Below. The 11-track record is packed with high-profile guests, including Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada and Australian heavyweights Make Them Suffer.

    Season of Surrender Tracklist:

    1. “Legions” (feat. Mike Hranica)
    2. “The Nameless”
    3. “Behemoth”
    4. “Den of Thieves”
    5. “Sonic Salvation” (feat. Jamie Hails)
    6. “Cerebral Malfunction” (feat. Make Them Suffer)
    7. “Tear of the Clouds”
    8. “Whispers Like Splinters”
    9. “S.O.S.”
    10. “New Horizons”
    11. “Forged by Failure”

While the guys are currently tearing through North America on the Spring Horizons tour with The Amity Affliction, we’ll have to wait a bit longer for them to head back to our neck of the woods.
