Genre-defying artist SIIICKBRAIN has officially released her highly anticipated sophomore album HOUNDSTOOTH, marking a bold new chapter for one of alternative music’s most uncompromising voices.

Out now via NOWHERE Recordings in partnership with Pale Chord, Rise Records and BMG, the 13-track record arrives after a string of singles including ‘PALO SANTO’, ‘MURKY WATER’ and ‘FILTHY’ featuring Fetish. The album follows a breakout period for the artist, which recently saw her feature on Skrillex’s EP Kora and continue building a reputation as one of the most distinctive creatives operating in alternative culture.

To coincide with the album’s release, SIIICKBRAIN has also unveiled a new music video for focus track ‘CONTROL’, one of the record’s most intense and emotionally charged moments.

Built around pounding four-on-the-floor rhythms, industrial percussion and an urgent acid-inspired synth bassline, ‘CONTROL’ captures the anxiety and frustration of navigating an increasingly chaotic world while searching for personal agency. The song’s themes of resilience and empowerment sit at the heart of HOUNDSTOOTH, a record that frequently explores the tension between vulnerability and strength.

Discussing the track, SIIICKBRAIN said: “CONTROL is a song I wrote about how I’ve been feeling with the current state of the world and how many people are losing control over different parts of their lives to a point where it’s creating this sense of dehumanization. The production is meant to feel powerful and driving, almost like a push forward, taking back control of your state of mind despite everything happening around you.”

The accompanying video expands on those ideas through stark and unsettling imagery. Opening in black and white, the visual sees SIIICKBRAIN isolated in a dimly lit room before being surrounded by masked figures who begin cutting pieces from her clothing. Throughout the clip, scenes of vulnerability are contrasted with moments of defiance and confrontation, reinforcing the song’s central message of reclaiming power in the face of dehumanisation.

Across HOUNDSTOOTH, SIIICKBRAIN continues to blur the lines between genres, combining elements of industrial music, alternative rock, electronic production, experimental pop and hip-hop into a sound that is uniquely her own. The album showcases an artist unafraid to challenge expectations while building an immersive creative world that extends beyond music into fashion, visual art and performance.

That fearless approach has already earned recognition from some of the industry’s most influential names. Alongside support from Rick Rubin’s American Songs platform, SIIICKBRAIN has attracted attention through collaborations and endorsements from artists including Skrillex and Willow Smith.

With HOUNDSTOOTH now available, SIIICKBRAIN is preparing to bring the album to audiences across the United States this month as direct support for Royal & the Serpent on selected dates of the Emptiness Is Godly Tour. The run begins in Salt Lake City on June 8 before visiting Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Boston, New York and Philadelphia.

As alternative music continues to evolve, HOUNDSTOOTH feels like a statement of intent from an artist determined to push boundaries rather than follow trends. Equal parts confrontational, cathartic and creative, the album cements SIIICKBRAIN’s place among the most intriguing voices emerging from the alternative underground.
