Independent underground label We Are Horror Records has officially announced an extensive series of late-summer UK tour and festival dates. Spearheading the campaign is legendary American heavy metal-infused horror punk veterans The Order of the Fly, who will be crossing the Atlantic to embark on their highly anticipated, first-ever UK run to celebrate their landmark “25 Years of Decay” anniversary alongside a curated selection of the domestic underground’s finest punk, goth, and alternative bands.

In an industry increasingly dominated by massive corporate arena tours backed by algorithmic formulas and commercial budgets, this upcoming run serves as an unfiltered statement of pure DIY culture. Independent underground promotion in 2026 faces an uphill battle against rising operational costs and fragile grass-roots scenes, making actual ticket sales the vital lifeline that determines whether international tours of this scale can continue to exist. For alternative music fans who frequently voice frustration over the lack of niche international talent hitting local independent stages, this collective run represents the definitive moment to actively participate and safeguard the future of the subcultural community.

The label’s upcoming touring stretch is also heavily intertwined with a major badge of honor, as We Are Horror Records were officially nominated for Underground Label/Management of the Year at the 2026 Moshville Radio Awards earlier this year. Further reinforcing their commitment to preserving authentic underground culture, the label has taken a transparent and highly commendable stance regarding artificial intelligence. Candidly addressing the occasional past use of AI-generated content across elements of its catalog, the label is actively moving forward with a dedicated transition to support human creators. They have begun commissioning tangible human artists to permanently replace legacy covers, starting with newly drafted artwork by digital and paper artist Kezozine for the Horrorpunk’s Not Dead! Volumes 2 & 3 compilations.

The dark touring festivities officially kick off on Saturday 15th August in Birmingham with the multi-band Halfway to Horror Punk Fest, before moving into a focused four-date club run across York, Glasgow, Bristol, and London. The entire summer campaign then leads into the label’s biggest central event of the year: Horror Punk Fest 2026 on Saturday 3rd October at The Flapper in Birmingham, featuring a stacked bill headlined by cult icons Zombina and the Skeletones.
